I enjoy a walk up Conic Hill with the prospective path workers for The Mountains and The People project

I’M up at a decent time to go and join a team of prospective path workers on a walk up Conic Hill…I’m doing a wee photo/news story for G63.scot on the recruitment process for The Mountains & The People project.

This is the second of four days of interviews and practical exercises to select a team of eight path workers.

The folks today are a good bunch. I go up the hill with them, take some photos then head home where I go through the images and get some other work done. Still got the lurgy, but the fresh air and exercise can’t have been anything but good for me.

After lunch I go back to the visitor centre to get some video voxpops from the candidates for the G63 webzine…I’ll hang fire on publishing the story, pix and video voxpops ’til Friday when the selection process will be complete.

There’s a load of insurance stuff needing sorted out…I think our cover is overkill and, actually, probably not properly specified. A chat with my insurance broker leaves me even more bamboozled and needing to go and make some lists and think about things.

I fart about with some more stuff for my website revamp, but the lurgy’s getting the better of me and I can’t concentrate anymore. Need to shake this off quick.

Later on we watch more Happy Valley. It’s well made and produced, and a good storyline but it’s pretty hard-hitting in place and makes me uncomfortable. With just one episode to go I call it a night and head to bed….Margaret’s desperate to watch ’til the end!
