THE to-do lists have gone a bit haywire over the last week, so I reallocate overdue /imminently due tasks and deal with anything that’s urgent.

I call the editor at ProSoundNews Europe in case there’s anything else I need to do for the blog feature – it;s not being run until the October issue, so there’s nothing urgent. What is urgent, though, is my judging form for the magazine’s awards so I go through all the categories and shortlisted folks and get the form back.

Main task for today is to finish the poster and online artwork for the USA shows booked so far. It’s quite a laborious process and takes me until after 6pm to get ’em all done. I’ll check them tomorrow then get the Facebook events set up and the poster artwork off to the States for printing/distribution.

Although Margaret’s party was on Saturday, it’s her birthday today so we head out to the restaurant in the village. It’s quite busy, but we get a table immediately. We order our favourite starters and both choose main courses from the specials board…Margaret has a slow cooked cut of beef with mash and I have linguine with chicken, chorizo and roast peppers.

Now I rarely order pasta outside the house. I make the best pasta dishes. No-ne comes close– other than Betty’s mushroom and feta pasta and Arcafe’s (Glasgow) pasta al salmon. Also, I balk at the idea of paying 15 quid for a plate of pasta…BUT…this is really, really good…I’m pleasantly surprised that my gamble paid off. We both have a great meal and a nice bottle of red. A  nice wee quite celebration after the madness of Saturday (and Friday!).
