THERE seems a helluva lot to get through before we head off to Ayr for this afternoon’s in-store at Big Sparra Vinyl.

We’re on the road in good time to get us to Ayr by 1pm with time to prepare for the support act’s 2pm kick off.

Our plans are hampered by road closures, accidents (not involving us, thankfully) and general sunny Sunday traffic chaos. It takes us three-and-a-half hours to do the 50-mile journey!

Alaura Borealis has started her set when we eventually roll up and load in quietly…the shops crammed with folks and although I’m a wee bit flustered everything goes to plan and I have areal blast playing. Quite a few familiar faces there too 🙂

We’re home soon after 6pm – the journey back was relatively delay-free – and get a few bits and bobs done before we head along to Betty and Joe’s for dinner.

Barbara, Thorsten, Fiona, Steven and Sandy are all going too and it’s quite some party – I think I can safely say Betty’s mushroom pasta is the best pasta I’ve ever had…and it’s no fluke ‘cos she’s made it before and I felt exactly the same then!
