A few of the ‘survivors’ at 3am..twelve hours after the party kicked off. Well over 100 folks came to celebrate Margaret’s 60th 🙂

WE’RE all up early to prepare for Margaret’s party.

It’s mostly lights and organising food…and getting the grilling/cooking area sorted. Will’s ‘pallet bar’ gets stocked and we’re pretty much ready to go 1/2-hour before folks are scheduled to start arriving. And at 3pm they do. Lots of folks 🙂

We hadn’t predicted a parking problem, but it becomes a minor issue and we redirect folks to other parking areas…the grill’s going and ready to cook. Will and I do the first shift…and I dot around making sure folks are welcomed and have drinks.

The weather’s been shit since mid-morning, but Betty and Joe’s carport/canopy and our gazebos – along with the covered office deck provide enough shelter and the rain doesn’t dampen spirits in the slightest.

Scott takes over on grilling duties and, assisted by Craig, does an extra long shift and does a great job cooking. There’s easily over 100 folks here and the party is in full swing.

By 5 or 6pm the rain’s off..and the party continues. It’s well after 3am when we turn in for the night. And it’s been a great day 🙂
