WE sleep in and then drink coffee in bed before I drag myself into the shower.
I suggested to Margaret we try and do something today…not just work or sit in front of the computer. Too icy for a cycle, but we agree on a walk.
Today’s Daily Record has a wee feature featuring yours truly. Last Five Things is a weekly column in the magazine listing – as the tittle suggests – the last five things things that the subject has bought. Rather than pick five things out the weekly Tesco or Costco shopping bag, I picked the last five things I bought outwith regular food shopping. See opposite…click the image for a bigger version.
Somehow, though, we get caught up in work and farting about doing things int he hosue and by the time I start sqawking about having missed the best of the day it’s 4pm. Instead of driving somewhere we end up going a wlak up the lochside and stopping in to see Betty on the way back. I’ve been drinking too much (I think!) recently, so forego the wine for coffee while Betty and Maragert enjoy a G&T or three.
My ‘no alcohol day’ becomes a ‘lower alcohol day’ when we get home though –I crack open a beer while Margaret makes a pot of chilli…and enjoy a wee dram while watching a film after we eat.
