ONCE the routine emails are out the way I tidy up and vacuum – Margaret’s in Glasgow for shopping and stuff and left me strict instructions!
It’s important, tho’ – we have friends coming to stay on Friday and Maggi is very allergic to cats so, as well as keeping Shitfur (aka ‘dog’) at arm’s length, we reckon a couple of intensive rounds with the vacuum should ensure she’s OK.
I’m slowly bringing the G63.scot webzine out of hibernation. I don’t have much time to commit to it at the moment, but I can post the odd story. Today I do a piece about the forthcoming Balfron 10k road race,
Next I hit the studio. I need to try and raise some cash or this live album will never see the light of day…I’ve a Lowden acoustic guitar, National Resolectric guitar, Mesa Boogie amp and a Zoom multi-track recorder I need to get quit of.
The Lowden and the amp have been on Gumtree and Facebook before but not attracted any interest. I need to re-think my strategy and reckon a wee video might help spread the word. I spend an inordinate amount of time trying to put something together.
Back in the house I create a ‘gear for sale’ landing page which the video will direct folks to and from there, I link to ads on Gumtree. It’s a bit of a faff, but it might work.
One of the Gumtree ads is stuck ‘processing’ tho’, so the whole project is gonna have to wait ’til tomorrow afternoon. I have a photo job early doors.
