I have an amazing time playing The Cluny – one of our favourite UK venues 🙂

ANOTHER early start into Glasgow – glad we packed all the stuff for tonight’s show last night.

I drop Margaret off then go to McDonalds for a coffee and get some work done. I have three big video files for the live EP to upload to YouTube so next stop is the Mitchell Library where I found out they have fast, free public wifi.

Also on my morning’s to-do list is uploading all the Live at Memorial Hall tracks to my digital aggregator so as to have it delivered to iTunes and all the download/streaming services well in advance of the 1 September release date. I get all the tracks uploaded, but I still need to work on the digital booklet for iTunes.

I pick Margaret up just after midday and we stop for some lunch and fuel before hitting the road to Newcastle.

We get there in time to check into our hotel then onto The Cluny where soundman Dave is ready and waiting. Celebrating new-found independence, the venue has revamped it;s sound system and is even better than before.

After soundcheck we’re fed and chill for a while before doors open.

Gypsy Dave Smith opens the show with a nice 1/2-hour set and the place starts filling up nicely. Lots of familiar faces and some new folks too 🙂

I have a fantastic time playing – the audience is great and there loads of folks to chat too round the merch table after the show.

We load out and stop for a pizza on the way back to the hotel where we eat and enjoy a nightcap. Brilliant night!
