WE’RE up at a reasonable time and I get some work done before we jump in the car and head for Edinburgh.
After a wee walk round the castle esplanade we make our way to the Grassmarket where we find a wee French restaurant for lunch.
Les – Margaret’s sister, who lives in Edinburgh – joins us and although the service is incredibly slow, we have a lovely relaxed lunch followed by a wander down the Royal Mile and a look round St Giles Cathedral.
The we walk through Greyfriars churchyard, past Greyfriar’s Bobby and then home via the supermarket and the Falkirk Wheel…
It’s after 9pm when we get home, crack open a few beers and make dinner. Glasgow tomorrow 🙂
