NO rest today! I get some work done while Margaert tackles the washing of the 150-odd glasses we hired from Morrisons for last night’s media launch of the new album.
The glasses are in plastic crates with no protection, so driving them back into Glasgow is stressful to say the least. We;re sure that every bump in the road breaks or cracks at least a few!
Actually, there’s no casualties when we get to Morrisons…there’s a couple missing in action and there were a couple of cracked glasses but we get the full deposit – all £20 of it – back…so the glass hire was effectively free. Good call Margaret!
Next stop, the Scottish Music Centre to pick up the gear we left then onto visit DJ and author Tom Russell to to drop off his bottle of Glengoyne special ‘Dave Arcari’ edition single malt. His card was one of six to come out the hat to win a bottle at last night’s event, but he’d had to leave early to do a book signing
We have coffee and a chat then home, via Glengoyne distillery to drop off some stuff.
Matty and his pall Jono are coming for dinner and to stay en route to Glencoe for a running event tomorrow.
