THE piles of receipts and other papers I sorted yesterday are still waiting to go the spreadsheets.
They’ll have to wait, tho’ – main priority this morning is to set up the competition to win guesties for the Glasgow or Edinburgh show, bottle of special edition ‘Dave Arcari’ Glengoyne single malt and a set vinyl test pressing of the new album.
As well as creating the Facebook post and scheduling it for a midday go-live, I need to set out the terms and conditions and emphasise that the winner must be able to attend the Glasgow or Edinburgh show – using their guest list places – and pick up the prizes in person.
As soon as the post goes live I spread the word round all my social media channels.
I get on with some other outstanding jobs and last minute press/media stuff for the weekend’s shows then go for a walk up the lochside – primarily to do a Facebook livestream, to to promote the competition and, of course, the album release and launch shows off the back of it.
For the first tike I do separate livestream to my personal profile rather than share the one from my ‘page’…means doing it all twice, but it seems worthwhile. The competition’s been getting a great response and some good traction. Hopefully it’ll keep up until it closes tomorrow (Thursday) at midday.
We drop off a ‘welcome’ card and small gift to some folks who’ve just moved into the village then go home and fire up the grill…it’s a nice evening and I defrosted some burgers earlier 🙂
