We have a great evening at our pal Rab’s album launch in Lochgelly.

I GO into Glasgow with Margaret and drop her off before installing myself at McDonalds for coffee, wifi and a load of work on the upcoming USA tour.

I have some shows to confirm, some to chase up and a load of social media to do.

I’m there a good three hours then drive down to Glasgow Green, park up and walk into the city centre to pick up some mail and go to the bank.

Next stop is Ramen Dayo on Queen Street…I fancy a bowl of ramen for lunch and this place showed up on my radar the other day. Time to give it a try.

I’m glad I did. Nice atmosphere, really friendly staff…and the miso ramen was amazing…easily the best broth I’ve had in Scotland…maybe even the UK!

I wander back to the car and hit Tesco for some odds and ends of shopping before picking up Margaret.

We head straight off to Lochgelly for my pal Rab’s album launch. There’s a reception first where it’s nice to catch up with lotsa pals…and then we move into the auditorium for what turns out – as could only be expected when Rab’s playing – to be a fantastic show.

It’s after 10pm when we leave the Lochgelly Centre and the hunger pangs get the better of us. A brief stop to pick up some grub at the local chippy then we head for home.

My lunchtime ramen at Ramen Dayo is nothing short of fantastic…
