Roadside view of Mount Rushmore avoids the $10 car park entry rip-off!

WE’RE up at a reasonable time at the Elizabeth Hotel in Fort Collins.

After a shower I get on with sorting a Feacebook video ad for the rest of the tour, posting my daily blog and then we do a livestream to my Facebook page.

By 11am we’re packed and ready to check out then hit the road – our destination Rapid City, South Dakota 400-or-so miles way.

The drive out of Colorado, through Wyoming and into South Dakota is pretty dull – and hot int he sun.

Our route takes us past Mount Rushmore and the famous mountainside sculpture. Ten dollars to park puts us off and, underwhelmed by the whole thing anyway, we make do with a photo from the roadside. Actually, although incomplete, the feat and execution of the sculpture is impressive…but the depiction of white power doesn’t impress us.

We hit Rapid City around 6pm, stopping at a supermarket to pick up some supplie for dinner in our motel room.

the evening is spent working – Margaret on booking accommodation and myself on promo, then we bag the remaining t-shirts ready for the merch table.
