A LOAD of stuff to get out the way before I start my shift helping in the local shop.
I get through it all then spend most of the day helping unpack the shop delivery.
Back home I make a run for the beef short ribs going on the smoker tomorrow…the rub doesn’t go on ’til the morning but the meat needs rubbed with some kosher salt overnight.
We’ve got a local community trust meeting tonight and Margaret’s away getting some shopping. Time’ll be tight after the ‘song a day’ livestream, so I prepare dinner – seitan and sugar snap peas in black bean sauce.
The meeting is at Betty and Joe’s and we go along a little early to wish Betty a happy birthday…and after the meeting we have a few glasses of red to celebrate 🙂
