AFTER doing a little online promo for this evening’s takeover of Unique Beatz’ Facebook page I tackle some of the other stuff on my list – and set up a Facebook event for the next Blues’n’2s (Monday 20 July, 8pm) when my guest will be Charlie Parr.
I also create some overlay logos and start/end screen for the livestream production.
There’s some more merch orders to be packed up and although I’ll be dropping it all off at the post office later, I print off online postage to, hopefully, minimise my time in the post office.
After lunch I make up a shopping list and jump in the car. Post office, Costco, fuel stop, Tesco and Chung Ying and home by 5.30pm.
That only leaves an hour-and-a-half to prepare for my 7pm (2pm EST in the USA where Unique Beatz is based) – the studio needs reconfigured and set up, set list decided and all the necessary preparations for my livestream.
I’m ready just in time, golive without any hiccups and play a 40-minute show.
The beauty of doing this from the studio is I don’t need to spend an hour tidying up…I go back to the house and make dinner. Asian salmon, tender stem broccoli and cold soba noodles… 🙂
