CATRIONA and the kids arrive while I’m in the shower and Margaret’s making breakfast.
We chat for a while then i get on with some work and they all go out for a walk.
I take a break to sand down the outdoor bar top and round off some of the corners and edges. I’m amazed I actually built this thing from scratch. Mind you, still a way to go to get it finished, so plenty time for DIY disasters!
I’d asked Margaret to measure Freya’s wrist so I can make her a wee bracelet. I’m busy knocking up a design when they come back their walk and Catriona and the kids head off. We’ll see them tomorrow when we go to visit for lunch – and I might try and get there and back on the bike.
In the office I cure a few bits of leather work which I’ll finish over the weekend sometime then get back to some finishing on the bar.
Once I’m happy with the final structure, Margaret takes over and stains the main body of the bar. She gets a couple a coats done before our pal Sandy drops by for a cup of tea and a chat.
Dinner is late but the panko/sesame coated chicken and salad is fantastic. A recipe from my cousin in New York:-)
