A still form episode two in my Smokehead Sessions livestream series…see it here.

MONDAY’S always a bit of a scrabble as I try and clear the decks before my Zoom sessions with some guitar students.

As well as the guitar stuff I have to promote tonight’s Smokehead Sessions livestream and get all the content and techie stuff sorted….and just to throw a fly in the ointment I’m doing a three hour shift in the shop to cover for someone else.

While double checking the shift time for the shop in the app they use, I notice the times for my two ‘regular’ shifts this week have changed….but no-one’s bothered to let me know. Mmm….!

ANyway, guitar lessons and shop shift done, I dash home for a 4pm phoned interview with a radio guy down south. By 4.15pm they’ve not called. If check the emails to make sure I’ve not got it wrong then fire off an email saying “I’m here…and ready for your call”.

There’s too much to do to fanny about waiting so I start getting the studio set up and take a break to sand down the first coat of varnish on the outdoor bar and put another coat on. I manage to sand out most of the midges and insects that landed on the wet varnish after Margaret did the first coat yesterday and set up a fan to blow the wee blighters away and stop it getting so bad with this coat.

I still don’t hear anything from the radio guy so finalise everything for the livestream. There’s the usual tech clusterfucks of things that worked last week not working this week but I manage to get everything nailed in good time.

The livestream goes well – you can see it here – and after tidying up and updating my social media and website landing page I go back to the house for dinner. Phew. Some day!
