THE alarm goes off quite early to remind me to call the doctor and try and get an appointment today…a phone consultation of course – in-person is still not happening for most folks.
I’m surprised they don’t take advantage of video calling for patients who have access to the technology and are savvy. Anyway, I need to get something done about this back pain/sciatica.
I get through to the surgery and manage to get ‘on the list’. The doc’ll phone me ‘sometime today’.
There’s a bit of work to do on Will’s glass/paperweight website during which the doc calls and we have a chat. He’s pretty good and after some discussion he prescribes something to help with nerve pain. We both reckon anti-inflammatory type meds aren’t;t gonna be much help.
I’m playing a livestream session for Homesong this evening and need to do some promo. And decide what I’m gonna play. It’s just four songs, so not too onerous.
inner is gonna be marinaded flame-grilled chicken in naan bread. A first attempt at this recipe for me, so I need to get all the prep done in advance, ready to get going as soon as I finish the livestream.
It’s a lovely day and I take a bike ride to the village to pick up my prescription and come back along part of the West Highland Way.
Back home I start setting up the studio for my livestream. Everything’s set up for the Smokehead Sessions and I don’t wanna have to disturb the setup any more than I have to but there is some re-setting needed and a different technical setup as the Homesong sessions use Streamyard to feed the Facebook stream.
The livestream goes largely to plan then I get back to the house and light the charcoal. The chicken, naan and sauce gets a big thumbs up 🙂
