AFTER a lazy start to the day we get into gear.
First task is to finish the outside bar. The bamboo ‘wrap’ needs trimmed and some wood cut to support the rear opening. It’s all daily straightforward with the only problem being that of the hoarders of midges.
Our front gate has been buggered for months now and needs a new castor. The whole thing’s in pretty poor condition, but if I can sort this part we’ll get some time before it all falls to bits.
It takes me a while to figure out a way to build a mount for the castor then I set about cutting wood and screwing bits together. Before fixing it all tot eh gate Margaret gives it a coat of wood stain.
While it’s drying I go for a walk up the lochside and do some livestreams to promote tomorrow’s (Monday) Smokehead Sessions livestream.
Back home I get the gate fixed and we’re both surprised at how effective my solution and resulting fix is!
