Great night with Duncan McCrone band at the Black Bull in Gartmore – I’m there on 14 January!

WE’RE up early to get to Doune in time for Aaron’s primary one school nativity. It’s a great wee production – the school always pulls off good stuff for the kids.

We stop into Catriona and Will’s after so I can pick up some stuff Will’s asked if I can engrave then home via the post office.

In the office I run some tests on the wood and send Will some pix then do a test engrave on an olive wood and resin coaster. It turns out nice so I stick it on the community WhatsApp and manage to generate some orders…so I need to order more blanks!

In the studio I set up ticketing for a fundraiser I’m playing at the local village hall – the venue where I recorded 2017’s Live at Memorial Hall double album – and some poster art.

Before I know it it’s almost time for my 4.30pm guitar student who shows up with his dad bang on time.

We have an early dinner then head off to Gartmore for our pal Duncan’s gig at the Black Bull – it’s the second in a series of monthly winter shows – I play the next on on Wednesday 14 January
