I take an easy ride to Sallochy for lunch....

FIRST job is to do some stock checking and stuff for the shop...and I have to work out how to fit a fastener to a bracelet.

It's a nice morning and the grass needs cut so I get the lawnmower ands trimmer out, then spread some weedkiller and repot a basil plant.

In the studio I call round some journalists in the north east of England and send them the news release for the Newcastle show. I'll deal with Belfast tomorrow.

My back's feeling a little better and I'm keen to get the bike out for a wee jaunt. I make some sandwiches and coffee and take a leisurely ride to Sallochy,

When I get back I spend half an hour on the acupressure mat – or 'bed of nails' as I like to call it. Then I marinade the chicken for tonight's kebabs before going back to the studio.

Margaret gets back with the shopping and once we've put it all way we take a wander along to see Betty. A few glasses of wine later and it's dark when we head back home along the lochside.

I get the grill lit and the kebab skewers made...and it's well after 11pm when we eat!
