UP at the crack of dawn to get the newly repaired car into Glasgow for an MoT and service before we go to the ‘States.

I drop the car in Maryhill at 8am and wander into town to McDonalds where I have breakfast and make my coffee last a good couple of hours while I get some work done. The wifi’s a bit allow, but I get some stuff out the way.

The sun’s shining and the city centre is already busy with groups of kids making their way to TRNSMT festival which kicks pop on Glasgow Green today.

I have a gander around for half an hour before the garage calls to say the car’s ready.

After picking up the car I stop at SeeWoo to get some char Sui pork buns to take home for lunch…once home, the buns are steamed and we enjoy lunch outside in the sun.

I carry on with the USA press/media stuff….cursing the GDPR rules that are making it so awkward to research media contacts. I make good progress though and a few journeys come back with some questions and requesting interviews.

Duncan and Irene are coming for dinner ton with. Margaret’s on most of the cooking, but I’m making the lettuce soup. Once done I have a little time for a walk up the lochside and get back just in time for our guests arriving.
