THERE’S a list of tasks as long as my arm to get on with…and I get busy in the hope of ticking some of them off before my afternoon/evening shift at the village shop.
I clear the routine stuff and make a little progress with a video edit before making some sandwiches and heading for the shop.
It’s a long eight-hour shift without a break and the village – and shop – is mobbed.
I’m pretty pulled by the time I get home just after 9pm and the sciatica isn’t helping. Margaret;s got dinner ready, though – and afterwards I spend ten minutes on the floor on my back on a stretching gizmo which gives a little relief.
