Three 45-minite sets in Putnam…but a great crowd pulls me through!

BACK on it today…and not too long a drive to Putnam, Connecticut.

We stop at a  Panera Bread en route and use the rest of the voucher from Dot then continue to Putnam and check into our hotel which is just five minutes from the venue.

After chilling for a while we hit The Stomping Ground…the early evening show with a jazz band is still in full swing (pardon the pun) when we arrive and are shown to a table and given a nice meal and a some beers.

The band finishes up just after 7.30pm. I’m on from 8pm to 11pm – a long shift to cover that, if I’m honest, I’m not really looking forward too. Two 45-minute sets is usually my limit…and I prefer to do just one set of between 50 and 70 minutes and hit ’em hard and fast.

As i turns out, i have a great time and the crowd power me through my three 45-minute sets, ensuring I’m well refreshed with beer and whisky at all times!

We’re back at the hotel by midnight, crack open some beers, have a snack then hit the hay. Newburyport Massachusetts tomorrow (Friday)...
