DOCTOR’S appointment first thing – we need a form filled in for our medical/travel insurance claim – plus I wanna see if I can get some kind of allergy test to see if my ‘episode’ was an allergic reaction to something.

Anything to avoid going through that again!

We’re back home mid-morning and a few accessories for the new MacBook Pro arrive in the post. The new laptop is great, but with just four USB-C ports, connecting anything that isn’t wireless is a problem. I ordered an adaptor that brings a few ports including ethernet, three ‘normal’ USB sockets, HDMI, card slots and through power. Rather than a dock that plugs into the side of the laptop, this has a short cable – not quite as funky, but the docks’ block the other USB-C port!!

Also, I’m keen to use the 27″ iMac in the studio as an external monitor – the USB-C to mini display port cable I ordered from Amazon makes that happen for under 20 quid…cheaper than a £500+ for extra monitor! its fantastic!

My tight budget meant that I went for a lower memory configuration which is fine, but I wanted the option for some. quick and easy external storage especially to transfer bigger files between computers. The SanDisk dual thumb drive is the dog’s bollocks for this…t6he only downside being that the protective bumper/case on the laptop is too tight around the USB-C ports so it doesn’t make a connection. Mmm…gonna have to ‘adapt’ the case…

In the studio I start editing the video form the West Coast trip. This could take a while…

A courier delivers a brisket which I’ll smoke for the ‘family day’ on Saturday.

I continue the video editing and realise its after 8pm…back to the house to make a green curry with tofu…
