AFTER a shower, coffee and some croissants in the hotel room we get packed up and sit outside.

We have more coffee and I get a little work done…glad I brought the iPad which is a good stand-in for the computer which is definitely fucked 🙁

It’s not far to the town we’re staying at tonight and we have a little time to kill so we drop into a supermarket and pick up some grub and go to a nearby park for a picnic lunch.

The B&B is in Deurne. The centre is all pedestrianised so we park up and wander off to find the place. It’s part of a cafe and the owners see us com8ng and make us very welcome with coffees and a chat.

We don’t need to be at Spektakel ‘til 6pm so relax a while then make our way to Asten.

Soundman Cor is waiting for us. He looked after sound last time we were here and we’re all set up in no time. There’s time grab a bite to eat then get ready for 8pm showtime.

I play two sets and it’s great to see lots of folks we know in for the show.

There’s lots of chat afterwards then we pack up and nip along to another venue to catch up with some pals for a quick drink.

It’s 1am when we get back to the B&B and enjoy a glass of red and some snacks before bed. Belgium tomorrow.
