AN early start at 5am and we get the car packed and ready to make our way to Edinburgh airport.

All goes to schedule, but the check-in queue and security at Edinburgh airport are a nightmare.

First stop is Helsinki where we clear passport control and baggage reclaim – all the gear has turned up safely – in less than 15 minutes. Wish it was like this entering the USA!

Although a little more expensive, we grab a taxi to take us to the ferry port. An easier option than negotiating trains and buses with all the gear…plus, we’re potentially short of time.

There’s a two-hour time difference from the UK making it around 7.30pm when we dismebark in Tallinn and get another taxi to our hotel.

We chill for a while then go out to find some dinner.

Back in the hotel room we have a glass of wine, Margaret goes to sleep and I edit the videoblog that you can watch at the top this post or on my YouTube channel.
