OFF to Campbeltown for the first of two house concerts in Kintyre but lots to do before we hit the road.

I have a phone meeting with Help Musicians about a panel we’re doing at XpoNorth next week.

Once done, i have a meeting about some trees needing cut down close to my studio and then we get the car packed.

We’ve allowed about four hours to get to Campbeltown and Margaret’s made a pile of sandwiches. We need to stop in Balloch and pick up some beers and other supplies for tonight then we enjoy the sunshine and spectacular scenery along the way.

We get to David and Ineke’s and load in the gear – they have a spectacular room that’s perfect for a house concert . Once set up we have something toe at and wait for the guests to arrive.

By the time I kick things off the room is full and there’s a fantastic atmosphere.

After a break – where guests enjoy David’s chicken curry and veggie option – one of the guests (Anne) plays a couple fo songs followed by a brief performance from David before I start my second set.

Afterwards we hang out and chat with everyone. A great bunch of folks.

Once everyone’s gone and we’re tidied up we sit and enjoy a few drinks with our hosts then head off to bed.
