WE’RE up and packed at the Air BnB to go and join the post-wedding brunch at the Hilton hotel five or six miles away.

It’s great to catch up with everyone at breakfast and chat for an hour or to until its time for us to hit the road. We’re off to Bellaire, Michigan for tonight’s (Sunday) show at Short’s Brewing.

We get to Short’s just before 6pm and engineer Keith gets me all set up and ready for my 7pm  stage time.

Meantime, we sample some of Short’s great beer and relax in the green room.

I’ve to play two, two-hour sets which is a bit of stretch for me, especially without banjo…but I manage OK. The room is packed and the sound is great.

At the break we order some food to be ready when I finish my final set. 

We have a grand time and once I finish up we pack up, eat and make our way to Sue and Jim’s in Traverse City.

We’re there by 11pm and enjoy a quick dram before bed.
