Unplugged at the Acoustic Tap Room in Traverse City…

WE wake up in Detroit and have some breakfast.

It might be my birthday (55 already – jeez!) but no time to sit back – lots of online stuff to do and some last-minute promo for tonight’s (Wednesday) show in Traverse City.

Margaret’s sorted a late checkout, so we get caught up on stuff then hit the road at midday. Its about four hours to Traverse City.

We stop for a sandwich and share the driving and hit Traverse City just after 5pm and park up and Sue and Jim’s. Sue’s away this evening, but pals Don and Sally are taking us all to a local BBQ place for some grub before the show. It’s fantastic – a real treat 🙂

Jim, Sally and Don stop off at a bar along the way, giving us some time to go to the Acoustic Tap Room and prepare for the show. I’m playing totally unplugged tonight…but it’s a premium show. Any concerns I have about folks coming out is short-lived and the place is full when I kick off just after 8pm…and its great to have my cousin Dot and her pal in for the show.

I play two sets and have a fantastic time. This doesn’t feel like work at all…promoter Seamus and owners Susan and Bruce make sure we’re well looked after.

Lots of chat and fun afterwards…and some Smokehead.

Back at Jim and Sue’s we sit outside and have a nightcap then zzzzzzzz’s….
