We love the Tooth & Claw in Inverness…

BEFORE breakfast I finalise artwork for the USA tour promo postcards and send it off for print to my favoured printers in the USA.

An email form a journalist that writes for one of the UK and Europe’s biggest guitar magazines has managed to persuade the mag to do a review and feature on the signature guitar and my self. He needs to know hen he can get hold of a review model of the guitar. Mmmm..I have the only one the in the UK and, save three of four days next week, will have it on tour here in the UK and in the USA ’til the end of October.

I email National and see if they have anything available to ship over. Otherwise, it’s back to the drawing board. I’d hate to miss this opportunity.

We have breakfast while I do the ‘day of show’ promo for tonight’s (Thursday) show in Inverness then I take the car to the studio and pack the gear.

First stop is Perth to get some posters out and about for the Kinross show at the end of November…then we continue our journey to Inverness. I take over the driving at House of Bruar.

After picking up some supplies at the supermarket we check into our Premier Inn just after 4pm and chill for an hour before heading to the venue for load in.

Engineer James is ready and we get sound checked and manage something  to eat before 8pm door.

There’s a nice crowd in, but its not as busy as I’d hope considering the great press support we’ve had for this one…the Northern Scot, Inverness Courier and Highland News all had near full-page features.

Regardless, the gig goes great and those that have come out are enthusiastic and complimentary.

We’re back at the hotel by midnight for a snack and a nightcap…need to hit the road to Scrabster early in the morning to ensure we don’t miss the Orkney ferry!
