THE house is like a bomb site…half-packed bags and stuff everywhere. And that’s before I get bring the music stuff in from the studio!

We’re not long finished breakfast when Betty drops in for a quick coffee and some help with her phone.

I’ve some online stuff and a few bits and bobs to finish up then I hit the studio and sort out my gear.

There not too much time pressure, so we don’t need to rush too much and get everything packed, car loaded and sandwiches and supplies all ready for the drive to Manchester.

We share the driving and stop off at a supermarket near our airport hotel for some stuff for a picnic dinner in the hotel room.

Our flight to New York is 9am in the morning…we’ll aim to be at the airport by 6.30am so we’re the check-indesk early with the gear. Sometimes makes things easier!

Meantime, some grub, a glass of red and an early night.
