Cool sky as the sun goes down over Balmaha and east Loch Lomond

STRAIGHT into the studio after breakfast to make up a set list for my slot on tomorrow’s (Sunday, 4.20pm) slot on the Isolation Music Festival.

Having been focussed on the acoustic roots livestream set and EP recordings for the last month, it’s a while since I played any of my own stuff, so a rehearsal is in order.

There’s a wee video project for a pal in Bristol needing finished and I spend the next few hours on that and dire the end result over via Dropbox.

It’s a nice day outside and I go a walk up the hill, getting back just in time for a visit form Martyn, Louise and baby Oran. We sit the garden at acceptable distance form each other, drink our own beer supplies and chat for a few hours until it gets chilli and the midges start biting.

Our pals head off and I stick on some rice and we have the rest of last night’s red beans and rice for dinner and watch a film on t he telly.

Just as tinge film finishes Margaret notices the sky – so, full of beer, I decide I should go out and take some photos. Seems like a good idea until I get covered in midges…and bites. We’ll see the full event of the damage when I. one out the shower in the morning!
