IT’S STOPPED raining so I take the opportunity to get the bike out, up on it’s stand and see what’s going on with my chain/gears.

After an hour or so of loosening, tightening, tweaking and squeezing I get the bike down and go for a quick spin around the local car park. Seems like it’s improved a bit, but some way to go.

I don’t have any more time to spend on it today – still got some work to do before my afternoon/evening shift at the village shop.

There’s still a little time left and I manage a half-hour walk through the forest before making my way to the shop.

I’m back home soon after 8pm. Margaret has a local community trust meeting and I start getting some dinner ready.
