THERE’S the usual scrabble to get things out the way before my Thursday guitar student arrives for her ‘in person’ lesson.
She’s doing well and it’ll always an easy, relaxed session.
I take a wander along to Betty’s to drop off some extra pasta from last night. When I get back I have a bit of a dodgy tummy but some lunch and a seat on the pan seem to sort things out!
I spend the afternoon rehearsing then get the gear together for an early start tomorrow. The festival is flying us from Glasgow to Belfast which is good for a time-saving point-of-view, but it means I have to take a stripped down bunch of her and instruments.
While a gets the merch ready I engrave some beard combs and whisky flasks…and print out a bunch of postcards to be handed out tomorrow night.
Once done, I re-record the vocals on Loch Lomond (Home) then shut up shop.
Dinner is left-over pasta from last night…I’d made a huge mound of it. Just as well, for I was meant to put a pork butt on the smoker first thing this morning but slept in and it would’ve been extremely late before it was ready. I’ll put it on on Sunday!
