Grand night at Black Box, Belfast for the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival

UP early (well, for us!) – we need to have the gear packed and be on the road to Glasgow airport by 9am latest.

The festival has booked our flights including two hold bags each so we’ve got two guitars, a merch case and another case with guitar accessories and overnight stuff. My pedalboard is hand luggage 🙂

There’s time for a late breakfast before we board and an hour later – just 23 minutes flight time – we’re in Belfast.

One of the festival drivers, Michael, is waiting for us and happily all the bags and guitars arrive in one piece.

We drop the guitars at the venue then go to our hotel which is only two-minutes’ walk away.

After nipping out for some lunch we go back to the hotel and chill until it’s time to go back to Black Box to set up and sound check. Our pals The Bonnevilles are opening the show and it’s great to catch up.

The show is full and it’s being live-streamed which is nice…The Bonnevilles play a cracking set then I take the stage for an hour-and-a-quarter. Everything goes well 🙂

We catch up with some friends old and new at the merch table then clear up and enjoy a couple fo drinks with show rep Romy before heading back to the hotel.
