WEST Highland Way Gifts is my priority today. I need to get some new items in the online shop and do some work on the website.
The morning is taken up with the product prototyping and photos then I make some arancini for lunch.
I suddenly realise that I’m smoking chicken thighs tomorrow…so they need to be prepped and a rub put on today. There’s none of my ‘Memphis dust’ rub left, so I first make a big batch of that then clean and trim the chicken thighs, add the rub and put them in the fridge to marinade ’til tomorrow,
My cousin Fred’s coming for the night and I’m doing flank steak on the grill – I prepare the steak and marinade and then go back to the studio.
The West Highland Way Gifts website has grown a bit and I really need to re-structure things. It was fine when there was just a handful of products, but now there’s a load of stuff…and there’ll be more.
I sort out the shop, add some new menus and update the dealer info/prices section then rush back to the house and peel some potatoes for the chips…I;ve just got the table set when Fred rolls up.
We have a cracking night. We haven’t seen her since lockdown so there’s a lot of catching up to do…suddenly it’s 3.30am….
