THE alarm goes off at 5am…Martyn’s coming to pick me up at 6am and I need all my camera gear sorted. I’ve a nice two-day job photographing the World Climate Summit.

We make our way into Glasgow to the Hilton Hotel – which is UN (United Nations) territory for COP26. Jamie is waiting for us at the load in and we’re joined by another Martin and get all the gear in.

My ‘guide’ is Kamilla and she shows me round the location.I’ve to shoot speakers and panelists in tow main rooms and cover all the networking and social stuff. Gonna be a busy day.

I’ve been allocated a desk in the main hub which is great as I can set up the laptop and download images etc as I go. There’s a good bunch of folks there.

Martyn and I take a 25-minute walk to pick up the van, go back to the Hilton and load the gear, drop Jamie and Martin off respectively and make our way back Loch Lomond-side.

I spend the rest fo the night going through the images and sorting stuff for same again tomorrow (Monday).…
