MATTY heads off first thing then we have breakfast.
In the office I sort a few bits of last minute merch and make up a wee rubber stamp to stamps folks hands when they come into the show tonight.
There’s a few songs to run through from my set then I start getting the gear together. We’re taking our own wee PA system and a backdrop.
We’re staying in Glasgow tonight. Margaret found a local Travelodge for £25 which is actually saving us money – and time – as we’d have been coming back into Glasgow early in the morning.
We check into the hotel then load in at the venue and get set up. Mick and Mikey arrive later on and I get them soundchecked and we’re all ready when doors open at 7.30pm.
It’s a small venue and the crowd is perfect – looked full time touring musician, singer/songwriter but enough space for post-lockdown compliant social distancing between tables etc.
Mikey opens the show with a short set then Mick plays followed by yours truly. Everything goes great and we’re back int he Travelodge soon after 11pm 🙂
