THE bundle of envelopes handed to me by the postie reminds me that we’ve still to tackle the Christmas cards…every year we try and cut the list down. Unsuccessfully.

I print out address labels and ‘the list’ – seriously considering putting a wee note in each card saying this is the last year we’ll send ‘real’ cards and in the future it’ll be an email and a maybe a ‘print your own card if you want to’ option.

Aside from the cost of postage, it’s a pretty wasteful tradition…I do love them, but the paper, delivery and associated stuff is starting to wrankle with me. I’ll see what Margaret thinks.

In the office I carry on the production of gifts – there’s load of local orders for West Highland Way Gifts’ items to be made up.

I stop for lunch, make a meal plan for the next week and shopping list for Margaret then carry on in the office.

I’d hoped to get out for a walk but the Smokehead for Thursday’s livestream is due for delivery today and I’ll need to be here to sign for it. I also want to use the stuff they send in some promo pix.

Margaret comes back with the shopping, we put it away and by 6.30pm there’s still no delivery. I’m not sure why, but this seems to be par for the course when stuff form Smokehead is due for delivery and it doesn’t do my stress levels much good…I not only need it for promo purposes, but it’s crucial for Thursday’s livestream!

There’s a local meeting about road improvements that drags on longer than we expect and it’s nearly 10pm when the pizza oven is fired up for dinner.
