I HAVE a guitar student coming first thing so get my shit together at a reasonable time.

The lesson goes great then I hit the studio to try an work out some stuff around some web hosting issues.

I take a break to blow up the paddleboard and get ready for a trip with Fiona after lunch.

There’s some BBQ stuff to be cleaned up put inside then I heat the last of the leftover jambalaya for lunch.

Fiona rocks up at 2pm and we get our stuff together and take the paddle boards down to the bay. It’s pretty calm and I amazingly, for the first time manage too stand up on the paddleboard. Dunno if it’s the calm waiter or the ‘training’ on the balance ball. At least I’m up tho’ – but I feel a but precarious.

Nevertheless, I manage a wee bit down the loch then we head out the island – Inchcailloch – and back to the bay. Awesome!

We wash down the boards, have a coffee and some Christmas cake then Fiona heads off. I get n with some more work and prepare for my pal Martyn coming round later for pizza and beer.

The new ‘turning peel’ helps a lot with the pizza and we have a grand evening catching up…
