AS PREDICTED I’m aching all over after yesterday’s paddleboard adventure – but we’re off into Glasgow early.

Margaret drops me in Milngavie and I take a train into the city centre. I’ve got some stuff to pick up but first I hit McDonalds for cheap coffee, somewhere to sit and decent wifi.

It’s our (ninth!) anniversary on Christmas Eve and Margaret’s suggested we treat ourselves to lunch out. We meet at Sugo on the corner of Mitchell Lane and Mitchell Street and have an amazing lunch. Great value too. I normally avoid Italian restaurants as I think I can make as good, if not better, at home…but this place is really, really good.

There’s some shopping to pick up, some presents to drop off and we’re home by 6pm.

After dinner we wander along to Betty and Joe’s and have a nice relaxed evening…
