NO CHRISTMAS Day lie in – I need to get the smoker going and turkey on the go. As soon as I’m out the shower I’m on the case.

Matty’s up and off for a run, Margaret and Les are on the veg while they get breakfast ready then it’s all hands on deck to make sure as much prep is done before Catriona, Will and the kids arrive soon after midday.

We have a great – if slightly chaotic – present opening session then we take the kids to feed the ducks while Margret and Les finish ‘the trimmings’. I go back too the house to check the turkey – it’s ready! And the cherry stuffing has worked out great. That’ll be my work done 😉

Rest assured the rest of the day and evening is a good time all round 🙂
