I’M out in the office getting some work done when the wind starts…and it’s a helluva lot stronger than forecast.

The gazebo is under a lot of stress and we can’t afford another disaster so we brave the elements and get the canopy off then move the heaters and lights. It’s pretty crazy!

After lunch I spend some time in the studio – one of my guitar students has asked for help with Eric Clapton’s Tears in Heaven and I need to have a proper listen and figure out how best to teach it. It sounds harder than it really is, but there’s some unusual fingerings that I doubt my student will be familiar with. We’ll work it out during the lesson tomorrow (Thursday).

I need some fresh air, but the weather is still horrible…and my big toe is still really sore so I stay in the studio for the rest of the day.

Matty’s coming back from Glasgow to stay again tonight and the plan was to have dinner then go along and see Betty and Joe…he’s now not coming back ‘til later so we alter plans, have dinner ourselves and visit Betty and Joe.

Matty gets back just as we’re walking home…
