A group of us from the village join the main cycle group event…

THERE’S a community bike ride event this morning – it’s been organised by Forth Environmental Link and folks are meeting at the National Park visitor centre car park.

About 15 folks turn up, including three or four of the organisers and it’s a nice opportunity to meet folks from slightly further afield and discuss the needs of cyclists in the area.

The event runs a little late and I have to bail early as I have a Zoom guitar student who I had already shifted to a later time so I could participate in the event.

As I cycle up the drive I hear a loud crack and my saddle moves a bit. Turns out the ‘rinsten spring’ between my saddle and seat post has broken! I have to clean and lube the bike and remove the broken spring before lunch and my Zoom guitar student.

The lesson goes well then I get the smoker fired up. I’m smoking a bacon-wrapped pork loin and we’ll take some along to Betty and Joe’s for dinner later. I also prepare some Alabama white BBQ sauce, potatoes and spring onions for mash and some veg.

I get busy in the studio until the pork is done then we get everything else prepared and head along to Betty and Joe’s for dinner.
