I’VE had to bring my regular Thursday morning ‘in-person’ guitar student’s lesson forward an hour as I have to film an interview at 10am….so it’s even more of a scrabble to get everything done before she arrives!

The lesson goes well then I pack all the camera gear in the car and go to meet my interviewee. It’s a nice dry day, thankfully, for an outside interview..but the sun comes out from behind a cloud and creates some lighting problems. Luckily Margaret’s walked along to meet us and turns up just in time to hold a diffuser in place to shield my subject from the direct sunlight.

Once we’re done I take advantage of the weather to grab some hyperlapse video which I may use to link my interviewees’ locations.

Back home I do a rough edit of the interview, transcribe the audio and send it to the Communities Housing Trust so they can highlight the parts of specific interest for the finished film. I’ve another three interviews to do over the next few days.

There’s some work to do in the studio then I prepare the Italian sausage sugo – I’m making pasta and Margaret a pavlova – to take along to Betty and Joe’s where we’ll have dinner with them and a couple of other friends.

I go for a wee walk while the sugo bubbles away on a low heat.

There’s some more stuff to do in the studio before we take the food along to Betty and Joe’s where we have a grand evening 🙂
