MEETING our pal Kate at 10am to take her paddleboarding her first outing and she’s borrowing a board from a neighbour.

After a wee chat about how it all works we head to the water and after a few wobbles she’s off…in total control albeit kneeling. She’s doing a lot better than I did on my first attempt.

We head to the island (Inchcailloch) and pull up on the beach. When we launch to paddle back, Kate tries to stand a few times but doesn’t quite manage. I reckon she’ll be standing next time.

Margaret’s been swimming with Catriona and the kids and gets home just as I get out the shower. We have some lunch then I nip into the office to make a Valentine’s ’card’ out of wood for Margaret.

In the studio I start the edit on the Communities Housing Trust video, getting back to the house just after 7pm to make a pork, chorizo and butter bean casserole.
