I’M not long up when Betty phones to ask if I can pop in at some point and see what’s happened to the phone line and Joe’s ’emergency button’.
Once I’m clear of the daily stuff I wander along and try to make some sense of the tangle of cables, adaptors and stuff that connects their phone, fibre, router and other stuff. I struggle to sort it and get Margaret to bring along an old ‘manual’ handed so I can test the connection at various point. Eventually I find the culprit – a defunct old ADSL filter and also a dodgy connection box.
Glad to have been able to help I go back to the studio and continue the edit on the Communities Housing Trust film I’m making.
After a break for lunch I carry on then, when the rain goes off, I head to the next village to take some pictures for a wee project I wanna do in the next day or two.
The film edit is taking longer than I had bargained for, but it’s coming along. I;m about halfway through when I shut up shop for the night.
