AFTER breakfast Margaret drops me in the village. She’s going to meet Catriona and the kids to go swimming and I’m going on a ‘community walk’.
It’s a beautiful morning and the walk is fun. I walk back from the village and have a quick toast before getting ready for a wee paddleboard trip. Kate is waiting for me at Liz’s and keen for her second paddleboard experience.
We go first to the nearest end of Inchcailloch then paddle round to Port Bawn at the other end. In all we paddle more than three-and-a-half miles and encounter some choppiness and the wake form some boats. Kate still kneeling but her confidence is growing and she’s done extremely well paddling all that way. I only fall in once much to Kate’s amusement 🙂
I’m pretty goosed when I get home but a nice shower and a coffee bring me back up to speed.
We’re off to Betty and Joe’s for dinner – Betty’s sister Greta, niece Karen, her daughter Rachel and Betty and Joe’s daughter Shona and her husband Ian are all there, Margaret’s made a pavlova for desert and we have a lovely evening.
