A bit choppy on the loch – the wind and waves cut our plans a bit short….

UP early to get the paddleboard inflated ready for a wee jaunt on the loch with Fiona.

The weather apps all have a relatively calm window until around midday but when we get to the lochside it’s quite windy and a bit choppy.

We go out anyway, but when we reach the open water we both end up kneeling as the water’s so rough…so much so that after about ten minutes struggling to paddle against waves and wind we turn around and head back to the shelter of the bay.

Our plans cut short we go back to the house, Margaret makes coffee and we sit and chat for a while.

I have a couple of gifts I want to make for our friends’ golden wedding and spend some time on that before getting on with some of the tasks that have been piling up in the diary.

We’re off to Betty and Joe’s this evening and I make some Italian sausage pasta to take along for dinner. We have a good night… 🙂
