THE gifts I’m making for John and Maggi’s golden wedding need finished…and we’re into Glasgow for their party mid-afternoon.

While not difficult, there’s time in between different stages of the leather finishing so I get busy with some other stuff at the same time.

There’s a load of live music for the party and I’ve been asked to play so I sort out my gear then have a Zoom interview with Iain Donald for the Gaulty & the Gator podcast he produces with his partner Fiona.

We’ve to be at John and Maggi’s just after 4pm for some thing to eat then we all head into Sloanes in town to prepare for the party. Soundman Greg has got the PA and lights sorted when we get there

John and Maggi have booked us a hotel just round the corner so we go and check-in, get changed and back to the venue for the party. We sit with a bunch of interesting folks we’ve not met before and have a grand night of chat, music and new friends before rolling back to the hotel in the wee hours…
